About There is a Season

Welcome to

There is a Season…

Hi, I’m so pleased you have dropped by. There is a Season is a curation of all that’s wonderful about the Great British seasons.

I’m Ruth Sneddon and, having worked as a copywriter for over a decade, this is the first time I have branched out and written for myself. I’m an nature enthusiast, not an expert so I’m learning as I go and I want this blog to be a happy place, where you can spend a few minutes immersed in a kind of virtual nature trail.

Four seasons

The blog is split into the four seasons, spring, summer, autumn and winter, and I will change seasons with the meteorological calendar (because it’s simpler that way). This means it will be all about spring from March to May, summer from June to August, autumn from September to November and winter from December to February. I’ll talk about everything from birds to butterflies, from the skies above us to the ground below, from wildlife to life in the water. And so, so much more.

If you have things you want to hear about, just let me know in the comments below. Or perhaps you want to tell the world about your own nature discoveries, in which case, let’s talk about a guest post.

I hope you enjoy my musings and that they bring you some joy.
